設計したのは前衛的な住宅作品や言説で主に知られ、東京工業大学の教授を務めながら、建築界に多大な影響を与えてきた篠原一男。そんな大阪らしからぬ建築家が京橋のカオスを建築に変換、原理的で地域的なビルを生み出した。
